The great bath excavated in Mohenjo Daro is a 55 M long and 35 M wide oblong pool. Built entirely of burnt bricks it could be entered at either end by means of a staircase.There were walls with openings which provided access to a cloistered walk running around the bath.The natural tar called bitumen covering the bricks made it water -tight.
