The crops grown in rainy season are called as kharif crops

  • The Crops are grown in the month of June- July, and harvesting is done in the month of Nov-Dec is known as a Kharif crop, this crops mainly depends on the monsoon for irrigation.

Some Example of Kharif crops are: Paddy, PigeonPea, Groundnut, Sorghum, etc.

  • Rabi or Winter crop: The Crops which grown in the month of October- November are called as Rabi crop
