I think they do not converge because the pole is itself a latitude​ of 90° and latitude is parallel to each other.

Explanation:

It converges at two points one is South Pole and other one is North Pole. In a globe every point has a meridian which runs through it from North Pole to South Pole. Whereas parallel runs through it form East pole to West Pole.

In a globe we can only see meridians and parallels because if globe will show everything globe would be black and it will become useless to navigate direction.
