The Three main steps for Nomination are:
a. Any person who wishes to contest election has to fill in the nomination form.
b. Has to make security deposit and
c. Has to make a legal declaration of the following details:
i. Serious criminal cases pending against the candidate
ii. Details of the assets and liabilities of the candidate and his or her family and
iii. Education qualifications
Photo identity cards ensures the following:
a. It proves the authenticity of the voter.
b. It ensures that no one can vote for someone else.
Party nomination is called party ticket given to an individual from the party that allows a candidate to contest election from a particular constituency representing the party concerned.
