Photo synthesis is the process where plants use the suns energy, carbon dioxide and water to create food (glucose, oxygen and water). The leaves let carbon dioxide and oxygen into the plant. Water evaporates through to the stomata, where it is cooled and moves on to the roots. the leaves continue absorbing sunlight to keep the process going.

this process lets the plant create energy to keep it alive, whilst keeping itself cool in the heat of the sun.
