The final temperature obtained by mixing two or more mixture into a container is known as the resultant temperature of the mixture.

Explanation:

  • Let there are two containers filled with water.
  • Measure the temperature of each container separately.
  • Then mix the liquid of both containers into a large container and  determine the temperature of the mixture.
  • To determine the resultant temperature of the mixture following equation is used.
  • T ( Final ) = (m 1 T1 + m2 T2) / m1 + m2
  • Where T1 is the initial temperature
  • T2 = Final temperature
  • m1 and m2 are the masses of the liquid.
