We all know that democracy stands on the pillar called “rule of law”. This restricts the powers of government and prevents any dictatorial behaviour from it. Rights are given for the citizens so that it can be used as a tool to maintain rule of law. ... It is a very important part for the very sustenance of a democracy.

rights are needed in our democracy because if thir are no rights so we will not be able to take the advantage of the constitution and it will be like monarchy type,right

we will not be able to talk with our elder and peoples and many other like in our constitution mentioned in right to freedom

we will not be able to go to the muslim an dant other religion if we does not belong to that religion

next, our right to equality like in the old ages their are some systems like the brahmins were on the top and the shudras were on the low level brahmins were treating them
