Sub-levels are basically arrangement of electrons in its electronic orbitals according to their energy levels. The s sub-level has one orbital, and can accommodate maximum 2 electrons. Similarly, the p, s and d have 3, 5 and 7 orbitals respectively and can accommodates 6, 10 14 electrons, respectively.

A sublevel is an energy level definedby quantum theory. In chemistry, sublevels refer to energies associated with electrons. In physics, sublevelsmay also refer to energies associated with the nucleus.
