a) sensory neuron

these neurones are present in sense organ on receptors and transmit the information from receptor to the brain and spinalcord. CNS

b) motor neuron

this neurone are present in CNS ( brain and spinal cord) and transmit information from CNS to effector muscles and gland.

c) relay neuron

relay neurone are present in CNS and convey the information from sensory neuron to motor neuron

d) receptor

  • Sensory neuron) these neurons carry sensory impulses from sense organs or receptors to brain or spinal cord ( i. e, central nervous system )
  • Motor neurons) these neurons carry motor impulses (instructions ) from central nervous system to the effector organ which may be muscles or glands.
  • Relay neurons or association neurons or inter neurons) they connect sensory neurons to motor neurons. They are located in the brain and spinal cord.
  • Receptors) nerve cells or sense organs which are stimulated by stimulus ( any change in the surroundings) and generate sensory impulse.

I hope its helps.
