A chemical bond is a lasting attraction between atoms, ions or molecules that enables the formation of chemical compounds. The bond may result from the electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions as in ionic bonds or through the sharing of electrons as in covalent bonds.

Back Bonding- It is π- coordinate type bond. In this type bonding vacant orbital of any other atom molecule gets lone pair from one element and finally that pair gets removed in total molecule.

Extra Information-

Some effects of Back bonding are-

  1. Central atom hybridisation
  2. Bond angle
  3. Bond length
  4. Nature of the molecule it may be acidic or basic both.
  5. Geometry of the molecule and also it's not confirm I mean it may or may not change.

Some essential conditions for back bonding are as follows-

  1. A Lone pair must be available to donate.
  2. Also in order to accept lone pair one atom must have vacant orbital.
