heya....bhabar-.....Bhabar- Bhabhar is the region south of the Lower Himalayas and the Siwalik Hills It is the alluvial apron of sediments washed down from the Siwaliks along the northern edge of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. Khadar- Khadarbelongs to the category of new alluvial soil.....

1. It is the largest part of Northern plain.
2. It is made up of alluvium.
3. The soil in this region is not renewed frequently, it is old alluvial soil.
4. It is not very fertile....

The rivers, after
descending from the mountains deposit
pebbles in a narrow belt of about 8 to 16 km
in width lying parallel to the slopes of the
Shiwaliks. It is known as bhabar. All the
streams disappear in this bhabar belt. South
of this belt, the streams and rivers re-emerge
and create a wet, swampy and marshy region
known as terai.
