- It has an outer rigid cell wall which is made up of cellulose.
- It has plastids.
- It has large vacuoles which occupies more space in the cell.
2. Animal cell:
- It lacks cell wall.
- It lacks plastids.
- It usually lacks vacuoles. Even if they are present, the occur in minute sizes.
What are cell organelles? What are the different cell organlles that make a cell?
Cell organlles are organised structures of cytoplasm capable of growth and multiplication. Each organlle is responsible for specific function.
The different cell organelles which make up cell are:
- Lysosomes
- Endoplasmic Reticulum
- Ribosomes
- Mitochondria
- Plastids
- Golgi Apparatus
- Vacuoles
- Per-oxisome
- Centrosome
- Cilia & Flagella (Cilium and Hagellum)
