Answer:

Cell is nothing but it is as a building block of all matter. Because as building is built it's smallest unit is a brick, in the same way every matter( everything around you ) is made up of cells. Cell was first discovered ❗by Robert Hooke in 1665 .

PLANTS

Plants are also made up of cells. Their cell has an outer covering which separates their internal body from external environment. Their cell wall is made up of a carbohydrate called cellulose.

ANIMALS

Animals are also made up of cells. Their cell has an outer covering which also separates their internal body from external environment. They have plasma membrane ( cell membrane ) as outer covering.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The different organelle of the cell are sa follows :-

Nucleus

Endoplasmic reticulum

vacuoles

Cytoplasm

Golgi Apparatus

These organelle are found both in animals as well as in plants

But none of these can be called structural and functional unit of life because if we refer them as structural and functional unit of life then they will be cells and if they will be cells what will be the organelle. For example if nucleus is a cell them every cell has a nucleus but we can't say that a nucleus(cell) has a nucleus.

CONCLUSION : We can't call organelles as structural and functional unit of life.
