cytoplasm is a semi liquid substance. It occupies most part of the cell within the cell membrane. Under a compound microscope it appears to be colour less partly transparent and somewhat watery.
protoplasm it is the living matter the total substance of a living cell that is the cytoplasm and the nucleus.
