Frequency

The number of vibrations made by a particle of medium in one second is called the frequency of the wave. Its SI unit is second(s) or Hertz(Hz).

On the other hand,

When a wave passes through a medium, the maximum displacement of the particle of medium on either side of its mean position,is called amplitude of wave. Its SI unit is metre(m).
