Any of five chemical substances that are not metals and that combine with hydrogento form strong acid compounds from which simple salts can be made is called halogen.
Two physical properties of halogen:-
1. The halogens have low melting points and boiling points.
2. Fluorine has the lowest melting point and boiling point.
Two chemical properties of halogen:-
electronegativity: The tendency of an atom to attract electrons to itself. halogens: Group 17 (or VII) in the periodic table consisting of fluorine (F), chlorine(Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), and astatine (At). They share similar chemical properties.
