Dear Student,
● Heterotrophic nutrition -
- Type of nutrition in which organisms depend upon other organisms (plants) for food to survive is called heterotrophic nutrition.
- Organisms don't produce their own food.
- Heterotrophs are consumers and are directly/independently dependent on autotrophs for food.
- They consume readymade food for nutrition.
- They can be herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.
- Examples of heterotrophs include fungi & animals.
Thanks dear. Hope this helps...
