The chemical substance secreted by endocrine gland which co- ordinate activities of living organisms and also their growth.

In short:-It is a chemical that is made by specialist cells, usually within an endocrine gland.

Characterstics of Hormones:-

⟹ They are secreted in small amount by endocrine gland.

⟹ They are pored directly into the blood through circulating system.

⟹The hormones have there effect at the site different from where they produced.

⟹ They act on specific tissue or target

organ .

⟹ They controlled the activities of our body and also grow it's growth.
