ANSWER:

Justice is the morally right and fair state of all things.

EXPLANATION:

Justice is what is regarded as right on the basis of the moral concepts of rationality, ethics, religion, law, fairness and equity. Justice must be in view of the democratic principle of the ‘rule of law’. This law is a concept which implies all decisions must be made according to the law. Not one person is exempted from the law. Respect for the rule of law is an essential prerequisite to protect justice within a democracy.

It guarantees that all actions and decisions of individuals are according to a nation’s laws. It also guarantees that individuals with power avoid taking decisions related to our lives in an unpredictable and equity manner, on the basis of their beliefs, prejudice or personal hatred and not on what the law permits.

The rule of law protects us by making certain that laws apply in the same way to all of us; that those who exercise govt. power do so directed by the law and not by their opinions/perceptions, and that none has absolute power over our lives. The rule of law can operate appropriately when courts act in a fair, independent, transparent and public manner.
