other 2 types are grafting and cutting
layering-A low-growing stem is bent down to touch a hole dug in the ground after some years they gradually cut off from the parent plant.
grafting-The upper part of the graft (the scion) becomes the top of the plant, the lower portion (the understock) becomes the root system or part of the trunk.
cutting- plant cutting is a piece of a plant that is used in horticulture for vegetative (asexual) propagation. A piece of the stem or root of the source plant is placed in a suitable medium such as moist soil. If the conditions are suitable, the plant piece will begin to grow as a new plant independent of the parent

Layering : a branch of of the plant with at least one node is bent towards the ground and a part of its covered with moist soil leaving the tip of the branch exposed above the ground
