➡The ratio of height of an image (h') to the height of object (h) is called linear magnification

➡It is denoted by " m "

  \large \mathtt{\fbox{m =  \frac{h'}{h} }}

➡When magnification is positive , the image is virtual and erect

➡When magnification is negative , the image is real and inverted
