mobility of a charged conductor is defined as the magnitude of their drift velocity per unit applied electric field.
its SI unit is m²v⁻¹s⁻¹

Mobility:

The mobility of the charge carriers is called carrier mobility.

The carrier mobility defines both the “hole mobility” and “electron mobility”.

The hole defines the space with lack of electrons and movement of these spaces through the conductor is called hole mobility. The movement of electrons through the conductor is called electron mobility. These two mobility are obtained when the surface is influenced by electric field.

The electron mobility is used mostly with the conductors which is given by the formula:

$\mu=\frac{v_{d}}{E}$

Where,

v_d is drift velocity

E is electric field

The above formula means drift velocity per unit of applied electric field.

S.I unit:

The unit of mobility is $\mathrm{m}^{2} /(\mathrm{V} \cdot \mathrm{s})$
