Heyy friend!!!!!
here is your answer.......
placenta is a disc structure between uterine wall and the embryo. it contains villi on the embroy's side and blood cells on the mother's side which surround the villi. This provides a large surface area for oxygen and glucose to pass from mother to embroy. The waste products generated by embroy is also removed by transferring it to mother's blood through placenta.
