Define the term 'pollution'. Describe UASB method of checking water pollution.

Pollution is any undesirable change that takes place in the environment, which is harmful to both living and non-living things. The UASB method (Upflow anaerobic sludge blanket) uses anaerobic processes and produces methane
The waste water enters from bottom and a sludge is formed
