STATUS OF DEVELOPMENT

• POTENTIAL RESOURCE- Resources which are found in the region but have not been utilised due to the lack of capital or other reasons.
• DEVELOPED RESOURCE- These are the resources which have been surveyed and their quantity and quality have been determined for utilisation.
• STOCK- These are the materials in the enviroment which have the potential to satisfy the human needs but could not be used as the human being do not have the appropriate technology to convert them into a usable form.
• RESERVERS- These are the subset of the stock which can be put into the use with the existing technology but their uses have postponed keeping in mind the needs of the future generations.
