Speed is a measurement of how fast an object moves relative to a reference point. It does not have a direction and is considered a magnitude or scalar quantity. SI unit = m/s

          Speed = Distance / Time

Average speed is the total distance traveled divided by the total time elapsed. SI unit = m/s

           Average Speed = Total Distance / Total Time

Hope this helps ;)
