Stratosphere is an layer of the Earths atmosphere. It is above the Troposphere and below the Mesosphere

Many jet aircrafts fly in the stratosphere because it is very stable. Also, the ozone layer which absorbs harmful rays from the Sun is present in Stratosphere. It ranges from 10km to 30km from the Earths surface.
