A tsunami is a tidal wave that is also referred to as a seismic sea wave.
It is a large number of waves within a water body that happens due to the movement of a large amount of water.
It usually takes place in a large water body like a sea or an ocean.
It can be triggered due to a volcanic eruption, landslide, meteorite impact, earthquake, glacier calving, underwater explosion due to detonation by a nuclear device or any other disturbances under or above water.
Unlike conventional ocean waves, a tsunami happens due to water displacement.
