Work input
work done on the machine to get desired output from the machine is work input. It is effort applied on the machine.
Work output
work done by the machine after applying effort is known as work output.
An ideal machine is a machine which gives efficiency 100% which is only possible when machine is weightless and frictionless.
A lever is a type of simple machine in which a point fulcrum is kept fixed and effort is applied on the desired ends of the machine to either multiply force etc.
