The point in a body where its whole mass is assumed to be concentrated is called its centre of mass.
The point in any body at which the force of gravity on the whole body can be assumed to act is called its centre of gravity.
On the surface of the Earth, or near it, where the force of gravity is constant, the centre of mass also becomes the centre of gravity.
