Define the terms momentum and impulse. A batsman hits back
a ball straight in the direction of the bowler without changing
its initial speed of 12 m/s. If the mass of the ball is 0.15kg.
determine the impulse imparted to the ball. (Assume linear
motion of the ball).
A batsman hits back
wler without changing
of the ball is 0.15 kg
le ball.

Answer:Mass=0.15kg

U=12m/s (from baller to batsman)

V=-12(batsman to baller opposite direction)

M × DeltaV=0.15×( -12-12)

-3.6Ns which indicates that direction of impulse is from batsman to bowler
