The pole is the geometrical center i.e, the mid-point of any spherical mirror is known as the pole.
A straight line passing through the pole of spherical mirror and joining it to the center of curvature of the mirror is known as the principal axis of the spherical mirror.
The center of the sphere of which the spherical mirror is a part is known as center of curvature of that spherical mirror.
