Define the three energy pathways. For each pathway, identify two exercises that utilize the pathway. If you were training to run a marathon, which pathway would be the focal point of your training? What types of activities would you incorporate into your marathon training and why? How will an understanding of energy pathways help you in your future training endeavors?

If u r a marathon runner. Then acc to me. eat slow digesting carbs which provide energy for longer time. And u can also use high fat food bcz after carb our body use fat as respiratory substrate.
Stored fat is used by our body. In harsh condition. And this trick is used by many swimmers who attemp to cross english channl. They eat high fat diet by which they can store alot of fat.. And then during swimming for a long time their body start using these fat when the carb or sugar resirvior vanishes in their body

There are three energy pathways those help people to produce energy at the time of exercise.

The first energy pathway is ATP/ CP pathway.

It releases energy for supporting people to do exercise.

This pathway does not need oxygen for producing energy.

Ex. Free-hand exercises. Other pathways are Phosphagen pathway (it uses immediate source) and Aerobic Pathways (It uses fat or carbohydrate).

In case of marathon, the Aerobic energy pathway provides energy to the runner.
