There are two types of chemical reaction -

1) Balanced chemical equation => The number of atom of each elements on both sides of equation are equal is known as balanced chemical equation .

eg - C + O2 ------>. CO2

2) Unbalanced chemical equation => The number of atom of each elements on both sides of equation are not equal is known as unbalanced chemical equation.

it is also known as skeletal chemical equation.

eg - Mg + O2 --------> MgO
