Answers
Answer:
Ans1-Combustion, a chemical reaction between substances, usually including oxygen and usually accompanied by the generation of heat and light in the form of flame.
Ans2- The lowest temperature at which a substance catches fire and undergoes combustion liberating heat and light is called ignition temperature.
Ans3- Rapid Combustion is a form of combustion , otherwise known as fire, in which large amounts of heat & light energy are released, which often results in a flame. Example :- Burning of matchstick, Combustion of LPG.
Ans4- Spontaneous combustion is the phenomenon in which a hydrocarbon (or a chemical substance) substance unexpectedly bursts into flame without apparent cause. In ordinary combustion, the hydrocarbon is deliberately heated to its ignition point to make it burn.
Ans5- Strictly a physical process, as opposed to chemical or nuclear, e.g., the bursting of a sealed or partially sealed container under internal pressure is often referred to as an explosion.
