Pedology-study of soil in their natural environment.

Soil profile-The soil is found in layers, which are arranged during the formation of soil. These layers called horizons, the sequence of layers is the soil profile.

Humus-it is useful for plant growth .it improves fertility of soil and is also made after the decomposition of plant and animals matter.

Soil conservation-an effort made by man to prevent soil erosion.

Residual soil-the products of rock weathering are still present at the place of origin, the soil is called Residual Soil.

Insitu-these are transported soil.

overgrazing-Overgrazing occurs when plants are exposed to intensive grazing for extended periods of time, or without sufficient recovery.
