 Sparsely populated :  Sparse means thinly dispersed or scattered, so sparsely populated would mean that there were few people scattered about the area spoken of. An example might be a county which is a large area, but with farms located far apart across it.

Moderately populated :   moderately populated area refers to places where average number of people live per unit area.

Thickly populated: The term densely populated is used to describe the human population of an area. This term might also be used to describe a population of animals or even organisms in a science experiment.

The fertile river valleys and the industrial region are densely populated.eastern and Southern Asia densely populated. this is because intensive cultivation is practised. the farm warm climate and fertile soil help to cultivate crops almost through out the year labour intensive Industries have also grown in most of the countries in the regions.

investor Europe and Central East Central North America, the main reasons for high density of population of mineral resources, development of industries and climate suitable for human habitation. every country of the world has some pockets of thickly populated areas. these are mostly the Metropolitan urban areas.
