there are 2 types of tides. they are-
low tide and high tide.

in high tide the level of sea water start increasing.
in low tide the level of sea water start decreasing.

the best example of low tide and high tide is haji ali in mumbai. when they is high tide no one can enter in haji ali because it is covered with sea water.
but when its time of low tide the water start decreasing and u can easily enter to haji ali.
