Define time and also define period. I di not know any of their meanings....put good answers i can report for bad answers

Time is the the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.

And Periods are the 7 horizontal columns in a periodic table. It also means short intervals in time.
