Time period is the time taken for one oscillation of any object following simple periodic motion.
The formula for time period is as follows :-
Time period = 1/f
where f is the frequency of the object or maybe an electromagnetic wave.
Now, for some detailed physical quanitites or problems in difference cases the formula for time period differs a lot.
For example,
In circular motion !
Time P = 2πr/v = 2π/ Omega
Now, according to phasor trick even this time period can be applied to objects following periodic motion or to be specific simple harmonic motion.
Also, in simple harmonic motion, time period function can be given as a wave function
X = A * sin(Omega*t + phi)
Where
A = Amplitude from it's mean equilibrium position.
Omega*t = phase angle
and phi = initial phase angle

A Time period (denoted by 'T' ) is thetime needed for one complete cycle of vibration to pass in a given point. As the frequency of a wave increases, thetime period of the wave decreases.
