hey mate here's ur answer....

a group of cells similar in structure and performing same functions is called a tissue....

i.e; a group of similar cells for example the neuron performs the function of transferring messages or commands....
hence the group of nervous tissues or each nerve cell in the human body would perform the same function as the definition of tissues is defined....

hope it is helpful

Devipvu2004: A tissue has one or more than one function
Devipvu2004: Dude but in rarely cases these group of cells will not be similar in structure
Devipvu2004: Like in the case of nervous tissue its made up of neurons and then one more
Devipvu2004: Plzzzz replyyyy friend r u there
vartika06: it's not like that the nerve cell have been given the task of transferring messages..... it's something similar like our heart have to beat continuously in the Same way the cells have to perform the task they are provided...
Devipvu2004: But friend why do the cells have to work together to make the tissue to perform its function
Devipvu2004: ??
vartika06: you do one thing go and watch this video I hope it will help you https://youtu.be/cAQpchyTXYo
Devipvu2004: Let me try friend
Devipvu2004: No it was not helpful they just said the same thing

tissue is a cellular organizational level between cells and a complete organ. A tissue is an ensemble of similar cells and their extracellular matrix from the same origin that together carry out a specific function. Organs are then formed by the functional grouping together of multiple tissues.
