Transpiration is a process by which excess water in plants is lost to atmosphere in form of water vapor through tiny pores present on surface of leaf called stomata.
Water is continually being lost from leaves by transpiration. This loss of water in the leaves exerts a pull on water in xylem ducts & draws more water into the leaf .This is transpiration pull.
