In the transpiration process the water is evaporated through the stomata and it make a driving force on xylem present on root to move water upward

root pressure develops in the root due to the continuous inflow of water.this pressure helps in pushing the plant sap upwards.due to this pressure water enters the xylem vessels,which passes through the cortex cells of the root by cell osmosis.thus,root pressure is one of the forces which contributes to the acsent of sap through the stem into the leaves upto a certain height.
