Ans:- When a settlement of triangular shape grows in an intersection of two large rivers based on availability of water and fertile soil, it is called triangular settlement. Such type of triangular-shaped settlement is largely found to grow in the riverine plains of northern India and the confluence of many rivers in the foothills areas.
