Trigonometry is defined in three ways: - basically it is a way to measure angles:-

1: Sexagesimal system(English system) in this type of system a right angle is divided into 90 equal parts called Degree. Right angle =90 degree , 1 degree =60 minutes, 1 minute =60 second

2: French system( centesimal system) - in this type of system a right angle is divided into 100 equal parts called grade. 1 right angle = 100 grade , 1 grade =100 minutes, 1 minute=100 seconds

3: circular system :- in this type of system no of radians in an angle subtended by an arc l in a circle of radius r is equal to length of arc l divided by radius of circle.

Relation in these systems :-

180 degree= π radian =200 grades
