Answer:
just go through class 11 ncert, there you can easily revise all the topic very quickly.
And there are two ways to write sets
- roaster form
- set builder form
( venn diagram is sometimes also included )
types of sets:
- null set
- universal set
- equal set
- equivalent set
- power set
Answer:
there are many types of sets -:
1. empty set -: The set in which has no element is called empty set .
-: It is also called as null set
-: It is denoted as { } .
ex -: A set of all odd integers divisible by 2 .
2. Singleton set -: The set which has only one element is called Singleton set .
ex-: A set of a whole no. but not a rational no. .
3. finite set -: The set which has finite no. of elements is called finite set .
ex-: A set of all even integers less than 10 .
4. Infinite set -: the set which has infinite no. of elements is called infinite set .
ex.-: the set of all the integers .
5. Equal sets -: Two sets having same elements & same no. of elements are 2 equal sets .
ex.-: A = { 1 , 2 , 3 } & B = { 1 , 2 , 3 }
6. equivalent sets -: two sets having same no. of elements are 2 equivalent sets .
ex.-: A = { a, b , c} & B = { 1 , 2 , 3 }
7. power set -: the set of all the subsets of a set is called power set .
8. Universal set -: A universal set is a set which contains all the elements of related sets .
ex.-: the universal set of A = { 1 , 2 , 3 } & B = { 3 , 4 , 5 } is U = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 } .
