on the the basis of their water concentration there are three types of solution they are
1. Hypotonic solution
2. Hypertonic solution
3.Isotonic solution
1. A solution having higher concentrations of water than the cell is called hypotonic.
2 A solution having lower concentrations of water than the cell is called Hypertonic solution.
3. A solution having same concentration of water as cell is called isotonic solution.
Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a selectively permeable membrane. while ,
Diffusion is the spontaneous movement of substance through a region of higher concentrations to the region of lower concentrations.
