Define uniform acceleration. What is the acceleration of a body moving with uniform velocity?

Uniform acceleration means that the change in velocity per unit of tine is always the same in terms of magnitude and direction. Two examples will make this clear.

Acceleration is the second order derivative of the function of position. In simple words, that means it is the rate of change of velocity.

Because velocity is not changing (it is uniform) then the rate of change (acceleration) is zero.
