Answer: Uniform circular motion can be defined as the motion of the body following a circular path at a constant speed. The body has a fixed central point and remains equidistant from it at any given position. When an object goes around a circle, the description of its motion becomes interesting in many ways.Example: moving fan.
Uniform circular motion is called as accelerated motion because the velocity changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion. So,even when the body moves at a constant speed, its velocity is not constant. Thus for a body moving in a circular path at a constant speed, its velocity changes continuously. The change in velocity gives rise to an acceleration in the moving body. When an object moves in a circular track/path with uniform speed,it's motion is called uniform circular motion.
example-if the athlete moves with a velocity of constant magnitude along the circular path, the only change in his velocity is due to the change in the direction of the motion
