Define uniform circular motion and give example of it. Why is it called accelerated motion? In the other answers on the site, how is it accelerated if the speed is constant?

And since velocity is a vector that has both magnitude and direction, a change in either the magnitude or the direction constitutes a change in the velocity. Hence a uniform circular motion is a accelerated motion because direction of motion keeps on changing.Yes, a body can have a constant speed and still be accelerating. For example you revolve a stone connected by a string in a circular motion. You will notice the stone rotates with a constant speed and yet have a centripetal acceleration which is directed towards the centre of the circle.
